We consider the initiative taken by the International Committee for Fair Elections (ICFET) as a crucial endeavor in safeguarding Taiwan’s democratic development. The International Committee for Fair Elections has formed an international group of distinguished persons with the purpose of observing Taiwan’s election and transfer of power. The latter is important, as a transfer of power will occur over an unusually long period of four months.
For these reasons we strongly support the International Committee for Fair Elections.
